You will be guided through the creation of your first scenario.
|
|
For each of the steps, you may have access to the following buttons at the bottom of the dialog:
|
- "?": will open the associated e-learning in your browser. This e-learning contains additional information on the current step.
|
- "Open view": will re-direct you to the view in which you will be able to perform the current step.
|
- Use the "Previous", "Next" and "Skip" button to navigate through the steps.
|
- Use the "Make current" menu in the Overview tree on the left to focus on a specific step.
|
|
This wizard can be opened at any time using the Help > Scenario creation wizard menu.

Explanation*To use Macro Planner, you first need to create a scenario. A scenario is a dataset in which you will be able to:
|
- Design your supply chain
|
- Build a supply plan
|
|
To create a scenario from an example Demo Dataset, select "Load a demo dataset".
|
To create your own scenario, select "Create an empty scenario". The supply chain wizard will then help you through the configuration of your supply chain.

Descriptionµ *² Macro Planner comes with three out-of-the-box Sales Demo datasets.
|
- The first one is about a fictional company named QAluminum. QAluminum is a vertically integrated company in the Aluminum production and recycling supply chain, which produces finished goods and sells them to the automobile and can industry.
|
- The second sales demo is about another fictional company named Yoghurt Ltd. Yoghurt Ltd is a company that produces and sells yoghurts. They sell yoghurt in 4 different flavors and 3 different pack sizes to 2 big supermarket chains with stores in 9 European countries.
|
- The third sales demo is about CarCo, which demonstrates the scheduling of electrical engine production.
|
|
Open the Scenario Management view by clicking on "Open view" button below.
|
|
To load a demo dataset, click on Edit > Select demo dataset menu:
|
|
- Select one of the two available demo datasets:
|
- Sales Demo Food: Yoghurt Ltd
|
- Sales Demo Metals: QAluminum
|
- Sales Demo CarCo
|
|
- Specify which scenario(s) should be loaded for that demo dataset. An option allows you to load all the scenarios available to the demo dataset.

In the scenario manager form, right-click on "All scenarios" and select "New scenarioâ¦".

In the dialog, enter the name of your scenario and press OK.

Verify that the newly created scenario appears in the Scenario list and that there is a green check mark beside the scenario name.
